Students studying BTS, you have the same rights !
As a field of higher education with courses most times taught in high schools, the BTS students are often looked over concerning the developments of disability services.
However, BTS students with disabilities are entitled to the same rights as students enrolled in the universities and other schools. No matter the disability, the students are able to register in their desired BTS and can benefit from all necessary services in order to successfully pursue their studies.
Identify your needs
If you wish to study in BTS and require specific attention (personal or technical aids, exam adjustments, etc) you should request an application from your local MDPH.
Board for Students with Disabilities
Since 2005, the School District of Rouen has developed a committee responsible for analysing all applications from BTS students with disabilities.
High school students follow regular registration procedures and if they do desire, can request an application from the committee.
This process allows students to benefit from a second chance.
Not all applicants receive a positive response. In fact, our goal is not to accept a student because of their disability but rather prevent students from being excluded on the grounds of their disabilities.
For more information, please contact Handisup.
Important: This committee is unique to the District of Rouen and is not available from other districts.
