Study at the University of Havre
Our main objective is to improve the overall university experience for both students with disabilities as well as faculty by :
• Working closely with the Preventative Medecine Serve (SMPPS) in order to identify students in need
• Implementing all necessary developments and components
Developments
Personal Aide :
Two assistants are provided to accompany students in courses, exams land with daily tasks.
In addition, there is a tutoring service: one ore more non-disabled students accompany students suffering from a disability by providing note taking services as well as daily tasks such as carrying laptops and helping with meals.
Technical Aide
Handicap services work directly with the students regarding mobility (specific classroom equipment, maginifying equipment, etc.)
It is possible for students to receive photocopies from all courses. If a student is unable to attend a course, they can access a recording of the course via EUREKA. Our goal is to provide all students with the same means to succeed.
Students are also given access to extra time, exam secretaries, elevator keys, parking spaces reserved to GIG-GIC…
Professional Integration
Our Handicap service Works in association with Handisup Haute-Normandie in order to integrate students into an active lifestyle, to research work placements, etc.
