Who are we ?
HANDISUP Haute-Normandie, in association with the law 1901, was created in 1998 with the aim of helping students with disabilities in the local region.
Our association is open to all those, both disabled or not, who wish to contribute and/or offer support.
If you wish to contribute immediately, you can donate 1 euro for students and 5 euros for non-students.
La raison d'être
Our goal is to provide each student, whatever the disability, the opportunity to achieve their academic potential.
In 1998, students with disabilities were provided no extra help, no accompaniment in their courses nor preparation for their future. They were often considered low priority with regards to work placements and internships. As a consequence, this delayed their access into the work force.
Over the past 10 years, thanks to our local region of Haute-Normandie, to Agefiph, to the Departments of Seine-Maritime and Eure and to the University of Rouen, HANDISUP has developed a program designed to assist and support disabled students from High School to Post Secondary Education and into their professional lives.
From then on, approximately 200 young adults from Haute-Normandie have called on HANDISUP and more than 140 have benefited from our assistance, whatever the disability (visual, auditory, motor, etc). We work with students from multiple different academic institutions in the local area: universities, INSA, ESC Schools, BTS courses, Architecture Schools, etc.
